Jude joined the twitter world this week and is trying to become more aggressive in joining in to the online publishing world. The problem of course is time. There is only a limited amount of time to give to each project. So… where do you start?

When I was be bopping around to the various Twitterees that I follow I noticed that some had modified their sites to take on a little more of their personalities. So this morning’s project became all about how I could do this as well. I started out with the generic look that you see to the right and by adding an image background you can fill out the edges with what ever you desire. So, with a little bit of time and some Photoshop Magic… I ended up with what you see below:

I think this brings more to bear as far as some of my personality and I get to show off some of my picture gallery as well. Lots of fun.

Some of the things to keep in mind include image size, I started with 1280x1024 but I think you should consider 1024x768 as the better starting point. Second file size has to be less than 800mb. File type should be either jpeg or ping jpeg will be smaller. Last, I found that posting the background took patience, the site upload mechanism kept crashing so you may need to resubmit several times before it actually goes up. It is fairly instantaneous so you will have your results right away.

It's been quite a while since the last time I posted anything to this site.
We been so busy updating our new website product cart and changing colors over to the new color scheme that all of our focus has been to try to get this up and running as quickly as possible. Jude has been doing a wonderful job learning the new product cart features and putting the new content in the system. So this coming Monday should show the new launch of the website for everyone to see.

I have a lot of information to report including our trip to Hershey for the Pete & C Show. I will be posting some pictures up on our site showing our booth and some of the activities that we hosted with our local WIU.
